Acupuncture Needles

While lying on your back, with your head on a pillow, bend both knees. Be sure the knees and feet touch each other as if they were glued together. Keep your shoulders on the floor. Place the palms of both hands lightly on your stomach. Without lifting either shoulder, let the knees drop toward the floor on one side as far as possible. Be sure to keep your knees and feet together while your hips pivot. (If you find it difficult to turn completely to one side or the other, put a pillow under your knees and let them rest on the pillow.)

Relax in this position and remain in it for one to five minutes. Then turn your knees to the other side and relax in that position for the same period of time. Be sure and press the floor with your torso and buttocks as you do this exercise.

Alternative way: Rather than keeping your knees and feet together, place them four to six inches apart and do the exercise. Try both methods and then use the one that is more effective.
